My objective as an ARTIST and EDUCATOR is to guide individuals through their unique and personal life path. Creativity is the expression of individual ideas given in response to collective information, yielding imaginative and innovative approaches to be considered. Creativity is a part of every discipline, and every discipline is an art. Learning about oneself and the world through creative play is the foundation of my personal philosophy on learning, healing, and living through the arts. ART observes and engages the worldwide community through individual exploration and experimentation. Art-making guided through a continuous cycle of research, design, production, problem-solving, critique, and reflection allows makers and viewers to engage in the process of interpreting art — questioning what art is, how it is made, and its context in one’s own life and in the world at large. This process of viewing, evaluating, and responding to culture builds a broad foundation for overall success and acceptance within and across cultures. EDUCATION empowers informed autonomy and intrinsic potential. Learning environments focused on cognitive, psychological, physiological, and social developments provide learners with important skills and values that translate into effective decision making in the real world. The process of learning creates active, concerned citizens capable of participating in a diverse global community. HEALING ACTIVITIES actualize self-awareness and locus of control. Through engagement in CREATIVE PLAY individuals experience a process mimicking the stages of cognitive and social development, allowing one to revisit needed areas for redevelopment toward further psychological and physiological progression.
The act of CREATING ART is a therapeutic process through which one learns and heals.
